Title: Director of Operations

Location: Chengdu, China
Qualifications:
B.S. degree or higher with a strong emphasis in Life Sciences and a minimum of 5 years experience in
non-clinical research
Experience in a Toxicology Laboratory may be substituted for education
Cultural sensitivity sufficient to develop positive working relationships with international partners and staff
Highly refined oral and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively,
to listen well, and to influence, motivate and lead
Technologically literate and capable of applying information systems to day-to-day operations and fully using
MS Office and database computer applications
Availability for minimal domestic and international travel
Availability for online meetings during off-working hours, as needed
Corporate Operation/Management Responsibilities:
Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of operations, quality and reliability of deliverables
Act as liaison with external parties regarding company's services
Be knowledgeable in GLPs and other domestic and international regulatory requirements
Propose and implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiencies
Work closely with senior management to optimize company profitability, develop long term objectives, and plan
for staffing and material requirements
Assist with agenda formulation for Client visits
Study Management Responsibilities:
Arrange pre-initiation meeting/teleconference with all of the required staff
Communicate with the Client to prepare study protocols
Contact Clients, as advised by Study Director, on issues relating to deliverables and budget
Manage study milestone and report schedules
Sends regular updates to Project Team on reporting timelines
Monitor budget for the study
May assist in preparation of study protocols and amendments
Coordinate study events with the subcontractors and third party organizations as appropriate
Responsible for identifying areas of inefficiency and providing solutions to improve deficiencies
Marketing/Business Development Support Responsibilities:
Assist with proposal development and costing of studies to capture work and maintain profitability
Provide support to marketing and business development personnel in developing and implementing promotions
and marketing campaigns, booth design, including attendance to trade shows and major conferences
Send follow-up correspondence from trade shows and conferences
Assists Contracts Administration in the management of government and commercial contracts, including
budget maintenance and task order generation
Participate in some BD meetings and presentations
